The Poetry Business Writing Days

‘Since I began attending the Poetry Business Writing Days two years ago, I have gone from having no poems published to forty, all in well respected journals. This is due to the encouragement and support of Peter and Ann Sansom and all the monthly writing day participants’ - Keith Hutson, regular writing day attendee.

Poetry Business Writing Days are (usually) held on the last Saturday of each month in Sheffield.

2017

The January Writing Day will be on Saturday 28th January

The February Writing Day will be on Saturday 25th February

The March Writing Day will be on Saturday 25th March

It is not essential but always much appreciated if you can let us know if you plan to attend.

Sheffield Writing Days

The Writing Days are open to all and held in Sheffield at North Church House at 84 Queen Street, S1 2DW (morning) and at our offices in Bank Street Arts (afternoon). North Church House is less than 100 yards from our office at Bank Street Arts – just past the Post Office and next door but one to Three Cranes pub.  It takes approximately one minute to walk between the two venues. Please see the map below for details of the location.

The Writing Days run from 10:15 am to 4:00pm, with writing exercises in the morning and a critical workshop in the afternoon.

Please bring a poem (and ten copies) for the afternoon workshop — or better still write one up to discuss from the morning session.

Places are £30, or £25 unwaged. Pay on the day — by cash or cheque.

If you have any questions, contact us here.
