Advertising & Sponsorship Opportunities
Advertising in The North
The North magazine publishes the best contemporary poetry, reviews, articles, and features including ‘Poets I Go Back To’ and ‘Blind Criticism’.
Established in 1985, The North was the first to showcase poets such as Simon Armitage and Ian McMillan, and two previous winners of the Forward Prize for Best Single Poem were first published in the magazine.
Accessible and high quality, The North is “excellent”, according to The Guardian, and, in the words of Poetry Review, “redresses the balance of English poetry”.
Published twice a year, The North magazine has a print run of 1,000.
There are currently 500 subscribers, including several UK universities and libraries, the Saison Poetry Library, and the New York Public Library. The North is also stocked in selected bookshops, including branches of Waterstones, Foyles and Blackwell's.
10% of North subscribers are based in countries outside the UK, including Ireland (23.5%), the USA (17.6%), France (11.8%), New Zealand, Japan, Spain, Singpore, Turkey, Thailand, Lebanon and Australia.
