Sheffield Prize Winners & Jim Caruth

You are warmly invited to the Sheffield Poetry Prize evening, featuring the winners of the Sheffield Prize, as chosen by Carol Ann Duffy. 

 Date:  12 April 2012, 7:30pm 
Venue:  The Assay Office, Guardians Hall, 2 Beulah Road, Sheffield S6 2AN 
Admission: Free 

You are warmly invited to the Sheffield Poetry Prize evening, featuring James Caruth and the 2011/12 winners of the Sheffield Poetry Prize, as chosen by Carol Ann Duffy. 

1st prize: Leah Fleetwood 
2nd prize: Jennifer Howard 
3rd prize: Lesley Perrins 

Joseph Caldwell and Beverley Nadin will also be reading their Highly Commended poems.  

Together with James Caruth, winner of the 2010/11 prize (judged by Simon Armitage), who will be reading for 20 minutes.  

Presentations by the University of Sheffield, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, and by The Assay Office, followed by a brief reading by the winning poets. James Caruth will be reading for 20 minutes from a pamphlet to be published in May by Smith/Doorstop,  Marking the Lambs


The Sheffield Poetry Prize is sponsored by The University of Sheffield, Faculty of Arts and Humanities.
 
And, in the Poetry Business's 25th year, by The Sheffield Assay Office.
