Dear all,

Following the overwhelming success of our crowdfunding campaign we have been working hard at Poetry Business HQ to get back on track with our work this year. We apologise for our recent radio silence, and are delighted to announce that we are now packaging up and posting campaign rewards. Those who selected a reward will receive your books, pamphlets, issues of The North magazine and Writing Day vouchers very soon. This has taken us a little longer than expected, so thank you for your patience and understanding.

Issue 62 of The North magazine - our Summer 2019 issue - is currently being typeset, and is due for publication in August. The four New Poets Prize winning pamphlets have been edited, typeset and printed, are now available to pre-order from our shop (the official publication is this Saturday 1st June). Our monthly Writing Days have been able to run as normal, and The Poetry Business team have been able to continue with all editing, teaching, marketing, and administrative work as usual. All of this is due to the incredible support that we received from so many of you.

During the crowdfunding campaign we also submitted a small Arts Council England funding bid in the hope that we could continue our planned project to publish a fifth series of Laureate’s Choice pamphlets and The Laureate’s Choice Anthology to coincide with the end of Carol Ann Duffy’s tenure as Poet Laureate. We discovered that this was successful at the beginning of May, and are thrilled to announce that these titles have now been published and are available to purchase from our online bookshop.

A huge thank you to all of you again for helping the Poetry Business survive through a challenging start to 2019.

Long live TPB!

Warm wishes and heartfelt thanks from all of us at The Poetry Business.
