Peter Sansom
 has published Writing Poems (Bloodaxe) and five collections with Carcanet, including a recent Selected Poems. He has been writer in residence with M&S, company poet with Prudential, and Fellow in Poetry at both Leeds and Manchester Universities. 

With Ann Sansom he is a director of The Poetry Business and co-editor of The North magazine and Smith/Doorstop Books.

 

 

 

 


Ann Sansom
 is co-director of The Poetry Business and editor of Smith/Doorstop and The North.

She is a poet, playwright and tutor. She has published six collections of poetry; had work published in several Forward/Faber anthologies, Russian Vogue and a range of other publications. She has also written and directed plays for stage and radio.

Her two full-length poetry collections are published by Bloodaxe.

 

 

 

Ellen McLeod is Business Manager and a co-director at The Poetry Business.

She completed a Masters in Cultural Policy and Management in 2010. Ellen Has worked in several administration and management roles in the arts, and has been working at The Poetry Business since 2011.

 

 

 

 

 

  

Suzannah Evans lives in Sheffield and her pamphlet Confusion Species was a winner in the 2012 Poetry Business book and pamphlet competition, judged by Carol Ann Duffy. Her poem ‘Helpline’ has been ‘Poem of the Week’ on the Guardian website. She has been a Hawthornden fellow and was one of the 2015 Aldeburgh Eight. Suzannah has worked for the Poetry Business since 2015, first as production manager and now as assistant editor, and also works as a teacher of creative writing. Her first poetry collection will be published later in 2018.

 

 

 


Eleanor Holmshaw is the Production Manager at The Poetry Business, manages the finances and makes spreadsheets for Opus Independents, supports Wordlife with events and projects, and keeps the books for Arts on the Run. She can otherwise be found in the pub, reading, on the train or ranting about how wrong the world can be. Often all at once.  

 

 

 

 

 

Katie McLean is the Marketing and Publicity Manager at The Poetry Business. She is also a Reader Leader for PIPEs at The Reader Organisation, and dabbles in freelance editing and content writing. Katie has previously worked in schools, climbing walls, wedding venues and one bakery, and she graduated from the University of Sheffield with a Masters in English Literature and Creative Writing in 2015.

 

 

 

 

 

Jess Timperley is currently studying for a MA in English Literature from The University of Sheffield, and is particularly interested in memory and life-writing. She graduated from The University of Sheffield with a BA in English Literature in June 2017. During her time at university, she was the Secretary of The Poetry Society, and can often be spotted at spoken word events and poetry readings around Sheffield. She interned with The Poetry Business throughout her final year, and has been working as the Administrator since March 2017.

 

 

 

 


Keith Lauchlan
is Utter Design. He provides web development and graphic design services to clients around the world, including musicians, publishers and community projects. He is currently responsible for all the Poetry Business design and typesetting.
